US President Donald Trump has stated that Putin is ready to compromise to stop the war in Ukraine.
Elchi.az reports that this was his assessment of the direct talks between the US, Russia, and Ukraine that will begin today in the UAE.
“He (Putin) will compromise. Everyone will compromise to achieve this. Europe will also be a part of it,” Trump noted.

Trump said on board his plane returning to the US from Davos that he was doing this more for Europe than for himself. He called his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky the day before very good.
Financial Times, citing sources, writes that at the trilateral meeting, the Ukrainian and American delegations intend to offer Moscow to stop attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure in exchange for Kyiv stopping attacks on Russian tankers and oil refineries.
Meanwhile, Zelensky announced that the agreement on security guarantees of Ukraine is ready for signing. According to the Ukrainian president, other agreements will also be prepared on the basis of the document, and Trump will announce the date and place of signing.
