Iran’s Prosecutor General Calls Trump’s Claim of 800 Executions Being Abolished a Lie

Iranian Prosecutor General Mohammad Movahhed has denied US President Donald Trump’s statement that the executions of 800 protesters detained during mass riots in Iran have been halted.

Elchi.az reports that this was written by the Associated Press (AP).

The US leader had previously stated several times that the executions of 800 protesters detained during mass riots in Iran had been halted.

“This claim is completely false; such a figure does not exist, and the judicial system has not made such a decision,” Movahhed emphasized.

He also noted that this information may have been given to Trump by the Iranian Foreign Ministry. However, he added that state authorities in Iran do not take instructions from foreign countries.
