In his annual letter published on January 21, 2026, YouTube CEO Neal Mohan announced exciting and equally controversial innovations for the platform’s future. The platform is preparing to allow content creators to create AI-powered “digital twins” using their own faces and voices.
Elchi.az reports that, thanks to this new feature, content creators will be able to produce YouTube Shorts videos using their artificial intelligence versions without appearing in front of the camera.
CEO Mohan emphasized that this technology will not replace human creativity, but will help creators create content faster and more flexibly as a “means of expression”.
Key Innovations
Personal Artificial Intelligence Models: Creators will be able to copy their voices and images and use them in their digital content.
Veo 3 Integration: Short videos can be created from text commands with Google’s advanced video production tool Veo 3.
Music and Game Tools: It will be possible to design games and try new music genres with simple text commands.
