In January-December 2025, Azerbaijan imported 1 million 267.3 thousand tons of wheat worth 275 million 626 thousand US dollars.
Elchi.az reports with reference to the State Customs Committee that this indicator is 1.9% or 24.7 thousand tons less in terms of volume and 1.5% or 4.1 million US dollars less in terms of value compared to 2024.
It should be reminded that wheat imports accounted for 1.13% of Azerbaijan’s total imports last year.
It should be noted that the average price of 1 ton of wheat imported from Russia and Kazakhstan last year was 369.7 manats.
