The video assistant referee (VAR) system worked in the UEFA Champions League main stage match between “Qarabag” and Germany’s “Eintracht” (Frankfurt) teams.
Elchi.az reports that Anar Hajiyev, the head of the Communication Department of the “köhlən atlar”, informed Report about this.
According to him, there was only a communication problem between the head referee and the VAR room at the beginning of the match:
“This was quickly resolved and the match started. The VAR system was in the game.”
It should be noted that “Qarabag” defeated “Aytraxt” with a score of 3:2. The chief referee of the match was Swiss Sandro Scharer.
