Private medical institutions will be able to provide oncological care

It is proposed that private medical institutions provide oncological care.

Elchi.az reports with reference to Telegraf that amendments are being made to the laws “On Protection of Public Health” and “On Oncological Care”.

The draft law was discussed at today’s meeting of the Health Committee of the Parliament.

It was noted that as a result of the adoption of the project, along with specialized private medical institutions, services will be provided only by private medical institutions that have a license for oncological care in accordance with the requirements of the Law “On Licenses and Permits”. This, in turn, will ensure the right of Azerbaijani citizens, foreigners and stateless persons to independently choose their treating physicians and receive treatment in the appropriate medical institution, by allowing citizens to receive medical services in any medical institution based on their own will.
