Orban: “Peace Council” can prevent new military conflicts

Hungary believes that the “Peace Council” established on the initiative of US President Donald Trump can contribute to strengthening security and preventing new military conflicts in the world.

Elchi.az reports that this was stated by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban after signing the document on the establishment of a new international organization in Davos.

He explained that Hungary joined the founding states of the “Peace Council” because the country “needs peace for the continuation of development and progress.”

“War endangers everything we have built in the last 15 years. War brings inflation, sanctions, high energy prices and the decline of the national economy,” the head of government wrote on the social network “X”.

“Hungary does not want to go backwards. We want to move forward. That is why we support all international initiatives aimed at preventing and curbing wars, ensuring the safety and stability of peoples and families,” Orban emphasized.

He also stated that he will defend this position at the extraordinary summit of the European Union, which is scheduled to be held in Brussels in the evening regarding the situation around Greenland.
