Trump said he would not use force for Greenland
US President Donald Trump said in his speech at the World Economic Forum (WEF) held in Davos, located in the Swiss Alps, regarding his goals to acquire Greenland: “We can apply force, but I will not apply it. Now everyone breathes a sigh of relief.” Trump announced that a framework for an agreement on Greenland has been created.
After a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte within the framework of the WEF, Trump said: “Based on a very constructive meeting, we have created a framework for a future agreement on Greenland and the entire Arctic region in general. As part of this agreement, I will not implement the tariffs that are scheduled to take effect on February 1.”
