A person working without an employment contract cannot restore their seniority later.
Elchi.az reports that Vali Guliyev, the head of the State Labor Inspectorate Service, said this at a press conference dedicated to the results of the institution in 2025.
According to him, the legislation provides for heavy fines for cases of employment without an employment contract:
“It is not possible to restore seniority. In some cases, if there are documents, the citizen can apply to the court. If there is an employment contract, the state protects it and applies insurance mechanisms. For this reason, a contract must be signed between employers and employees.”
