Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, emphasizing the need for continuous defense support to continue the fight against Russia, said, “If the Davos format provides this, that is, the real results that Ukraine needs, Ukraine will be represented there. No one needs empty politics or speeches that do not yield results.”
Elchi.az reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, emphasizing the need for continuous defense support to continue the fight against Russia, said, “If the Davos format provides this, that is, the real results that Ukraine needs, Ukraine will be represented there. No one needs empty politics or speeches that do not yield results.”
In his video message, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made statements regarding the ongoing war with Russia. He stated that he held a special coordination meeting with officials regarding the general situation in the conflict zones, the recovery process, and the mobilization of necessary resources, and emphasized that Russia continues its attacks.
Zelenskyy stated that various regions, mainly energy infrastructure, were targeted by “Shahed” drones and said: “Kyiv is in the most difficult situation. The Air Force’s operations against Shahed drones are not satisfactory. There are capture elements, a large number of forces are involved; mobile fire groups, F-16s are available, but the Air Force’s working mode must be different.”
Zelenskyy, emphasizing that they continue their relations with US and European colleagues on many issues, mainly support packages for Ukraine, stated that they need defense support. Touching upon the Davos Summit held in Switzerland this year under the theme “Spirit of Dialogue,” Zelenskyy said: “Air defense missiles are needed every day. Weapons are needed every day. Equipment for repair and spare parts is needed every day. If the Davos format provides this, that is, the real results that Ukraine needs, Ukraine will be represented there. No one needs empty politics and speeches that do not yield results.” Zelenskyy stated that otherwise it would be difficult to participate in the Davos Summit: “We must pay attention to the situation within the country. Every official, local government, all state and energy company leaders; everyone must work in Ukraine, in cities, villages and areas that need repair and protection.”
He noted that in Kyiv alone, more than one million people were without electricity in the evening and 4,000 buildings faced heating problems. Zelenskyy emphasized that he continues coordination efforts to provide the necessary support to the affected areas. He stated that he will continue to involve qualified experts who can contribute to the process and added: “Currently, all forces must be mobilized for Ukraine. And so it will be.”
