On January 16, US President Donald Trump announced his decision to create an international organization called the Peace Council, inviting the Republic of Azerbaijan to become a Founding Member State of the organization.
This was reported to Elchi.az by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It was noted that the Republic of Azerbaijan accepted the invitation and conveyed its intention to become a Founding Member State of the Peace Council to the US side.
“An official letter of confirmation regarding our country’s membership in the Peace Council will be addressed to the US side, and appropriate measures will be taken within the framework of the required procedures.
Azerbaijan, as always, is ready to actively contribute to international cooperation, peace and stability,” the statement said.
