The Ministry of Defense of the Syrian transitional government has announced a ceasefire in the northeast of the country in connection with a new agreement with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), a coalition of Kurds.
Elchi.az reports that, according to the ministry’s statement, the ceasefire came into effect on January 20 at 20:00 local time (21:00 Baku time).
“This decision will remain in effect for four days in accordance with the agreements announced by the Syrian government and the SDF,” the statement said.
