The Palestinian Gaza Administration Committee has been fully formed.
Elchi.az reports that the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has released information about this.
“Egypt, Qatar and Turkey welcome the creation of the Palestinian Administration Committee, which will deal with administrative issues in Gaza. The administrative body will be headed by Ali Abdul Hamid Shaat,” the statement said.
The mediators hope that the creation of the committee will help move to the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Palestinian enclave and prevent a new phase of escalation.
Shaat is from Khan Yunis, located in the southern Gaza Strip, but currently lives in the West Bank. He has held a number of senior positions in the Palestinian National Authority and is considered an expert in the reconstruction of political and economic infrastructure.
