Doctors in Spain start strike

Doctors in Spain have started a two-day national strike in protest against the new labor regulations prepared by the Ministry of Health.
Elchi.az reports that, according to national media, the Ministry of Health has approved the regulation, which envisages changes in the working conditions that have been in force in the sector for about 20 years.
Sixteen health organizations across the country have reacted to the approval of the regulation by declaring a two-day work stoppage.
Doctors, who claim that the regulations do not meet their requirements and demand their own separate regulations, want changes in on-call hours, salaries, working hours, early retirement rights and professional categories.
However, the Ministry of Health has so far rejected any regulation other than the one it prepared during negotiations with trade unions.
On the other hand, it was reported that demonstrations will be held in many cities, including Madrid and Barcelona, as part of the strike.
