Container transportation via Aktau-Baku-Aktau line increased by 15%

Last year, “Kazmortransflot”, a subsidiary of Kazakhstan’s national company “KazMunayGaz” (KMG), transported 59.4 thousand containers in twenty-foot equivalent (TEU) on the Aktau-Baku-Aktau feeder line.

Elchi.az reports this with reference to the official information of “KazMunayGaz”.

According to the information, the volume of transportation increased by more than 15 percent compared to 2024 (51.4 thousand TEU). The positive dynamics are conditioned by the increase in demand for transportation along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor – ed.).

“The consistent increase in the volume of transportation confirms the key role of “Kazmortransflot” in ensuring reliable maritime logistics, diversifying export-transit routes, as well as in the development of multimodal transportation between Asia and Europe,” the information says.
