The initialing of the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Washington on August 8 last year is a historic event.
Elchi.az reports that this was stated by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, Edmondo Cirielli, at the 6th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Italy in Baku.
“We hope that the new situation will serve to strengthen peace not only in the South Caucasus, but also in other regions,” Cirielli said.
