Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen and Greenland’s Foreign Minister Viviane Motzfeldt will hold a joint meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte regarding US threats to seize the island. The meeting will take place on January 19.
Elchi.az reports that this was reported by the Danish TV channel “TV2”.
The publication stated that “Poulsen will meet with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte next Monday. Greenland’s Foreign Minister Viviane Motzfeldt will also participate.”
According to the TV channel, Poulsen will call on Rutte to increase the bloc’s military presence on Greenland’s borders. He is also in favor of permanently stationing troops there.
DR TV channel clarified that the negotiations will be held in Brussels.
