In 2025, 30 servicemen of the Armenian army died.
Elchi.az reports with reference to the Armenian media that this was stated by the Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan at a press conference today.
According to the minister, 24 of them died from reasons not related to military service, and 6 died in connection with service.
The causes of death include lightning strikes, electric shock, suicide, and health problems.
“There have been no cases of murder in personal relationships,” Papikyan noted.
Papikyan also commented on the participation of the army in political processes. He ruled it out.
