Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced that the document on US security guarantees for the country is in the final stages of completion.
Elchi.az reports that he wrote about this on his Telegram channel regarding the results of the Ukrainian negotiating group’s discussions with the American side.
“We discussed the schedule for meetings, document preparation, and possible signing for the next two weeks. I gave the task to complete the document on security guarantees for Ukraine from the United States and submit it for review at the highest level. This should be a document at a historic level,” he noted.
Zelenskyy also emphasized that documents related to the restoration and economic development of Ukraine were also discussed. He instructed Prime Minister Yuliya Sviridenko, Deputy Prime Minister Taras Kachka, and Minister of Economy Aleksey Sobolev to ensure full support and expertise of all economic aspects of future agreements between Ukraine and the United States, as well as trilateral agreements in the Ukraine-Europe-United States format.
The Ukrainian President noted that the necessary mechanisms for using the recovery funds that will be received from partners have been identified. He also stated that he expects a clear answer based on the results of negotiations between the United States and Russia regarding whether Moscow is ready to stop the war on real terms. According to him, otherwise, pressure on Russia should be increased. This can be achieved by increasing restrictions on the shadow fleet, financial schemes that allow bypassing sanctions, and export revenues.
