Opportunities for using water formed in Baku Metro stations will be investigated.
Elchi.az reports that this is reflected in the “State Program for 2026−2035 on improving water supply, rain and waste water systems in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula”, approved by President Ilham Aliyev.
According to the State Program, in 2026−2027, the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency, together with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the Ministry of Science and Education, and Baku Metro CJSC, should ensure the study of existing and alternative drinking and technical water sources of the Absheron Peninsula, including the possibilities of using water formed in Baku Metro stations.
A feasibility study document will be prepared in this regard.
