Oleg Krapivin, a Ukrainian millionaire accused of hooliganism in Azerbaijan, known in the criminal world as “Oleg Bakinsky,” has been granted amnesty.
Elchi.az reports that his lawyer, Kheyransa Babayeva, informed APA about this.
According to the information, the presentation of the Probation Service of the Ministry of Justice in this regard was considered in the Khatai District Court. The court released him from conditional punishment.
It is expected that Konstantin Kucher, who was accused together with Oleg Krapivin, will also be amnestied, and his sentence will be reduced by 6 months. The court will also consider the presentation of the Probation Service regarding him.
It should be reminded that according to the verdict of the Baku Grave Crimes Court, Oleg Krapivin was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months of imprisonment. Article 70 of the Criminal Code was applied to him, and his sentence was considered conditional with a probationary period of 6 months. Konstantin Kucher was acquitted under Article 178.4, under which he was charged. He was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months of imprisonment under Article 221.3, under which he was charged.
It should be noted that Oleg Bakinsky was detained by the police last year in Baku on charges of hooliganism against a Russian citizen. He was charged with Articles 127.2.3 (Deliberately causing minor damage to health, when committed in a generally dangerous manner or with hooligan intentions) and 221.3 (Hooliganism, committed with the use of weapons or objects used as weapons, accompanied by the use of violence against the victim, or the destruction or damage of other people’s property) of the Criminal Code. The measure of restraint in the form of detention chosen during the preliminary investigation was replaced by house arrest during the trial.
Along with Oleg Bakinsky, Konstantin Antonovich Kucher, who served as Deputy Minister of Defense Industry of Ukraine for Aviation Affairs in 2010-2011, is also found guilty in the criminal case. He was charged with Articles 178.4 (fraud – when committed causing damage on a particularly large scale) and 221.3 (Hooliganism, committed with the use of weapons or objects used as weapons, accompanied by the use of violence against the victim, or the destruction or damage of other people’s property) of the Criminal Code.
Aviazapchast JSC, Promyshlennye Postavki Kazakhstan LLC, and Zakharenkov Valeriy Nikolayevich were recognized as victims.
