The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, has announced a ban on the entry of Iranian diplomatic and other representatives to the premises of the European Parliament.

“As the brave people of Iran continue to stand up for their rights and freedoms, today I have decided to ban all Iranian diplomatic staff and other representatives from entering all European Parliament buildings. Parliament will not serve to legitimize a regime that maintains its power through torture, repression and executions,” she emphasized.
