French Minister of Defence Catherine Vautrin announced at a press conference that the country has begun recruiting people for voluntary military service.
Elchi.az reports that the official’s speech was broadcast live on the French Ministry of Defence’s X social media page.
Vautrin stated, “Today, January 12, 2026, we are starting to recruit young volunteers for the first group of program participants who will join the ranks of our armed forces.”
