Customs duties on the export and import of leather (cattle and lambskins, hides of equidae animals) have been reduced by 2 times.
According to Elchi.az, the Cabinet of Ministers has made changes in this regard to the “Commodity nomenclature of foreign economic activity of the Republic of Azerbaijan, rates of import customs duties and rates of export customs duties”.
If a customs duty of 500 US dollars per 1000 kg of leather exported from the country until December 31, 2025 was applied, the customs duty applied from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026 will be 250 US dollars.
Customs duties applied to fresh and dried hides imported into Azerbaijan have also been reduced by 2 times, from 150 US dollars to 75 US dollars per 1000 kilograms.
