Six people, including famous Colombian singer Yeison Jimenez, died in a plane crash in the Colombian city of Paipa.
Elchi.az reports that the country’s Civil Aviation Administration released information about this on the social network “X”.
The incident occurred on January 10 at approximately 16:00 local time (01:00 Baku time). “It has been confirmed that the aircraft with registration number N325FA crashed near the Juan Jose Rondon aerodrome,” the agency said in a statement.
The pilot, Captain Fernando Torres Rojas, also died during the accident.
In turn, the local newspaper El Tiempo reports that the accident occurred shortly after the plane took off from Paipa airport. City Mayor German Ricardo Camacho told the newspaper that emergency services – firefighters, rescuers and medical personnel – were working at the scene.
It should be noted that Yeison Jimenez was born on July 26, 1991 in the city of Manzanares, Caldas department. He gained wide fame thanks to the compositions “Aventurero” and “Tenias Razon”.
