Ukraine has warned Poland about the possible use of the Russian “Oreshnik” missile during the attack. Polish monitoring systems tracked the missile’s flight path and point of impact.
Elchi.az reports that this was reported by the Polish publication “RMF24”.
In addition, Kyiv provided Warsaw with information about the missile during the Russian attack.
Due to the warning, the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces put ground-based air defense systems on combat readiness. This includes one Polish “Patriot” battery and several Dutch systems located near Rzeszow.
Fighter jets were not used because they are considered useless for destroying modern hypersonic missiles.
