ISW: IRGC forces are used to suppress protests in Iran

IRGC ground forces have been used to suppress protests in Kermanshah province of Iran, and possibly other regions.

Elchi.az reports that this was noted in the report of the US Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

This is a rare occurrence after protests related to 22-year-old Mahsa Amini.

At the same time, human rights organizations report that some security forces refuse to fire on protesters.

According to information spread in some Iranian Telegram channels, the country’s Supreme National Security Council stated that it would prevent acts of sabotage.
