ING Group, the largest financial corporation in the Netherlands, forecasts that the average annual inflation in Azerbaijan will be 5.3% in 2026 and 8.9% in 2027.
Elchi.az reports this with reference to ING. In the financial institution’s updated January forecast, inflation expectations for 2026 have been reduced by 0.4 percentage points compared to the previous forecast, while the forecast for 2027 remains unchanged.
ING determined that the average annual inflation in Azerbaijan for 2025 was 5.6%. As for quarterly forecasts, ING believes that the average annual inflation in Azerbaijan will be 5.2% in the first quarter of 2026, 5.4% in the second quarter, 5.3% in the third quarter, and 5.5% in the fourth quarter.
