The average price forecast for Brent oil for the first quarter of 2026 is 58 US dollars.
Elchi.az reports that this was stated in the forecast of the largest Dutch financial group “ING Group”.
ING believes that oil prices will continue to decline towards the end of 2026. Thus, the oil price for the second quarter is forecast at $56, $58 for the third quarter, and $54 for the fourth quarter. In other words, the average annual oil price for 2026 was determined at $56.5.
According to the group’s forecast, oil prices will exceed $60 again in 2027: “The average price of Brent oil is expected to be $58 in the first quarter of 2027, $60 in the second quarter, $66 in the third quarter, and $63 in the fourth quarter.”
In general, ING has kept its oil price forecast unchanged. In the natural gas market, compared to previous forecasts, a downward correction was made for the entire year of 2026. Thus, the average price forecast for gas in the Dutch TTF hub for the first quarter of 2026 was reduced from 34 euros to 33 euros, to 28 euros for the second quarter, from 29 euros to 27 euros for the third quarter, and from 33 euros to 30 euros for the fourth quarter. For gas forecasts for 2027, price expectations for the second and third quarters remained at 24 euros, and for the fourth quarter at 27 euros.
