The US is coordinating the ceasefire in Gaza, so the start date of the new phase of the peace plan is expected to be determined by Washington.
Elchi.az reports that this was stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on TRT Haber’s live broadcast.
“The work of Palestine and Hamas regarding the second phase has been completed, but Israel wants to change the rules of the game and puts forward new conditions. A declaration on the second phase of the peace plan may be prepared next week,” the Turkish Foreign Minister emphasized.
According to him, a Peace Council should be established first in the Gaza Strip and a temporary administration should be organized.
“The US supports Turkey’s activities in Gaza, while Israel objects to it. We will continue our work on humanitarian and other issues, but the deployment of troops has not been clarified,” Hakan Fidan noted.
