UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has expressed regret over the US decision to withdraw from some of the organization’s structures.
Elchi.az reports that this was stated by the official representative of the Secretary-General, Stefan Dujarric, at the briefing.
“According to the UN Charter, all member states, including the United States, must make payments to the organization’s regular and peacekeeping budget.”
The UN Secretary-General’s spokesman noted that all structures of the organization will continue their work.
