Elchi.az reports that US President Donald Trump shared information on this topic on the US-based Truth Social social media platform.
“It was a great honor to meet with Colombian President Gustavo Petro,” Trump wrote, adding, “He called to clarify the situation regarding drugs and other disagreements between us. I appreciated his call and tone and look forward to meeting with him soon.”
Trump also shared information that meetings between the US and Colombian foreign ministers are planned to be held at the White House.
Previously, President Trump targeted Colombian President Petro, claiming that the country was sending cocaine to the US, and warned Petro, “He should be careful.”
Trump also called Colombia a “sick country” and said “Operation Colombia sounds good” regarding a possible US attack.
