The Elbus oil tanker, sailing under the Palau flag, was attacked by drones in the Black Sea and anchored off the coast of Turkey.
Elchi.az reports that the “IHA” agency reported this.
The attack occurred earlier when the ship was approximately 30 nautical miles off the coast of Turkey’s Kastamonu province. The attack was likely carried out using UAVs. According to the agency, the upper part of the hull was hit.
The captain sent out an emergency signal, after which the Turkish Coast Guard units quickly arrived at the scene. Under their supervision, the tanker anchored in the İnebolu district of Kastamonu province.
The crew was not injured. The extent of the damage will be assessed by experts.
Marine transport data confirms that the ship is located off the Turkish coast, near the city of Inebolu.
