Precipitation is expected to intensify in some places. Roads are expected to be icy in some mountainous areas at night.
In addition, strong winds will blow in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula on January 9, as well as in some regions.
The National Hydrometeorology Service issued a yellow and orange warning regarding the expected windy weather conditions.
South-west wind will blow in Baku and Absheron Peninsula, Kalbajar, Lachin, Zangilan, Fuzuli, Lerik, Yardimli, Dashkasan, Gazakh, Agstafa, Tovuz, Ganja, Samukh, Goranboy, Naftalan, Neftchala, Salyan, Siyazan, Shabran, Khachmaz, Guba, Gusar, Mingachevir, Shaki, Gobustan, and the wind speed will be 13.9-20.7 m/s.
In Khizi, according to the orange warning, the south-west wind will blow, and the wind speed will increase to 20.8-28.4 m/s.
