A Boeing 737 passenger plane belonging to the Russian airline “Pobeda” was unable to land at its destination due to unfavorable weather conditions during the Moscow-Fergana flight and was diverted to a reserve airfield in Kyrgyzstan.
According to Elchi.az, referring to Uzbek media, the reason was thick fog and zero visibility at Fergana airport.
The crew of flight DP729, which took off from Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport, initially considered landing the plane in Namangan, Uzbekistan, but this decision could not be implemented due to similar weather conditions.
As a result, the plane was diverted to Osh International Airport in Kyrgyzstan and landed successfully.
According to reports, on the morning of January 8, several flights were also forced to change their routes due to unfavorable weather conditions and land at reserve airfields instead of Uzbek cities.
