The Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) in Iran has reported that the death toll in protests that began due to economic problems has reached 38.
Elchi.az reports that the report published on the website of HRANA, based in the USA, provided information about the protests that have been going on in the country for 11 days.
According to the report, 34 protesters and 4 members of the security forces lost their lives in the protests held in all 31 provinces of the country during this period.
Dozens of people were injured and 2,217 people were detained in the protests held in a total of 348 places across the country.
It was reported that the injuries were mainly caused by bullets fired from hunting rifles and plastic bullets.
No official statement has been made by the Iranian authorities regarding those who died or were injured in the protests.
HRANA announced yesterday in its report for the 10th day that the number of dead had reached 36 and the number of detainees had reached 2076.
