Armenia and Iran discussed prospects for the development of strategic partnership

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi in Yerevan.

Elchi.az reports that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia (MFA) released information about this.

It was noted that the development of bilateral relations between Armenia and Iran was discussed at the meeting. The parties also exchanged views on the work done to bring relations to the level of strategic partnership.

“We, of course, attach great importance to relations with our neighbor and friend Iran. In fact, these are strategically important relations for us. And it is no coincidence that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan officially agreed this year to raise our relations to the level of strategic partnership,” Mirzoyan said.

The parties also exchanged views on the opening of regional infrastructure. Mirzoyan and Ravanchi also reviewed the programs being prepared in this direction and the opportunities opened in this context.
