The White House will only allow shipments of Venezuelan oil that comply with US law and national security.
Elchi.az reports that this was stated by White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller.
Miller made this comment while commenting on Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth’s post that the US will continue its blockade of ships intended to transport Venezuelan oil.
He added that the Venezuelan energy sector has “unlimited economic potential” through legitimate and sanctioned commercial channels identified by the United States.
Earlier, the Pentagon announced the detention of the Russian oil tanker Marinera in the Atlantic Ocean. The operation was carried out as a result of the coordinated joint efforts of the US Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security with military units. Hegseth linked the detention of “Marinera” to the oil embargo imposed against Venezuela.
