Ukraine and the United States held another round of consultations in Paris and discussed important elements of the main framework for ending the war and possible formats for future contacts at the leaders’ level.
Elchi.az reports that this was stated by Rustam Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, on his Telegram channel.
He noted that the US was represented at the talks by Special Representative Stephen Whitcoff, US Ambassador to France Charles Kushner, Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, and White House staff member Josh Gruenbaum. Ukraine was represented by Rustam Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Lieutenant General Andriy Gnatov, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Presidential Office, his First Deputy Serhiy Kyslytsia, David Arakhamia, Head of the Servant of the People faction, and Oleksandr Bevz, Advisor to the Presidential Office.
“During the meeting, the important elements of the main framework for ending the war were discussed in detail. Special attention was paid to possible formats of future contacts at the leaders’ level with the participation of Ukraine, European partners and the USA. At the end of the day, a detailed report is being prepared for the President of Ukraine,” Umerov wrote.
