Currently, foggy weather conditions are observed in some areas of the country.
According to the National Hydrometeorology Service, Gulshad Mammadova, the director of the Hydrometeorological Forecasts Bureau, told Elchi.az about this.
She noted that visibility is limited to 50–500 meters in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, as well as in Guba, Yevlakh, Imishli, Kurdamir, Sabirabad, Neftchala, Bilasuvar, Lankaran and Astara: “The reason for the formation of fog is the high temperature during the day, the cooling of the earth’s surface and the decrease in air temperature at night. Foggy weather is expected to continue intermittently until the evening of January 9.”
