Today, Western countries are losing the influence they used to threaten other states in the struggle for energy resources.
Elchi.az reports with reference to RIA Novosti that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this during his speech in parliament.
“It is clear that a new and very aggressive competition will emerge in the struggle for energy resources. The Western world is gradually losing the arguments it has used for years to threaten other countries. We are at the very center of the fierce struggle for the distribution of resources,” the Turkish leader said.
Erdogan added that despite a number of crises and military conflicts, Turkey was able to “justify the people’s trust” in 2025.
