US President Donald Trump has announced his intention to further reduce oil prices.
Elchi.az reports that Trump said this during his speech to the Republican faction in the US Congress House of Representatives.
“I will meet with oil companies. You know what we’re talking about. We need to produce more oil, which will allow us to lower its price even further,” the American leader said.
According to his version, the prices of energy carriers have significantly decreased during his approximately one year in power in Washington.
“They say on television that energy prices have decreased by 3%. But they have not decreased by 3%,” Trump claimed. According to him, a gallon of gasoline in the USA (US gallon is approximately 3.7 liters – ed.) was 3.50 – 4 dollars, and now a gallon of gasoline costs 1.99 dollars at many gas stations. “And prices will fall even further,” the American leader expressed his confidence.
Trump also said that he intends to meet with representatives of insurance companies in order to achieve a reduction in drug prices in the United States.
