6.2 Magnitude Earthquake in Japan

A 6.2 magnitude earthquake occurred in Japan, with its epicenter in Shimane Prefecture. It was announced that there is no tsunami threat.
Elchi.az reports that Japan was shaken by a 6.2 magnitude earthquake.
According to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), the earthquake, with its epicenter in the east of Shimane Prefecture, was recorded at a depth of 10 kilometers at 10:18 local time.
It was announced that there is no tsunami threat after the earthquake, which was strongly felt in Shimane, as well as Tottori, Okayama and Hiroshima prefectures.
Numerous aftershocks between 3.2 and 5.4 magnitude occurred after the earthquake.
According to initial reports, there were no casualties and no anomalies were detected at nuclear power plants in the affected areas.
