149 children deprived of parental care were adopted in Azerbaijan last year.
This was reported by Elchi.az from the Social Services Agency.
It was noted that 40 children (30 in 2024) were placed in guardian families during the same period.
It should be reminded that work is underway to encourage the adoption of children deprived of parental care and their placement in guardian families. The measures implemented serve to continuously improve the relevant mechanisms, expand the scope, and ensure the transition of children from institutional care to family-based care, create favorable conditions for their healthy development and successful integration into society.
