US President Donald Trump said: “We will control everything in Venezuela and fix the country. Then the elections will be held at the right time.”
Elchi.az reports that US President Donald Trump assessed the current situation with the press representatives on the plane while returning to Washington from Florida, where he was spending his vacation.
Trump, who considers military intervention in Venezuela to be right and just, claimed that a large amount of drugs came to the US from this country and that President Nicolas Maduro runs a “narco-terrorist state”.
Explaining that there is a lot to be done regarding the current situation in Venezuela, Trump said that large American oil companies will go to that country and start doing billions of dollars worth of business there.
US President Trump noted that they are in close contact with Vice President Delsi Rodriguez in the country and said: “We have control in Venezuela.”
Trump said that he has not yet met with Rodriguez, but that cabinet members have met, and added that “She is cooperating with us,” but did not provide details.
Repeating his “threat” that Rodriguez’s fate will be worse than Maduro’s if she takes steps against US interests, Trump emphasized that he expects the current Venezuelan government to do the right things.
“Venezuela is currently a dead country. We have to revive it. Oil companies will have to make huge investments to rebuild the infrastructure, and they are ready for it,” Trump said, claiming that they have the right to use Venezuelan oil as they wish.
