The European Commission (EC) is not currently planning to freeze the assets of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his family, following the example of Switzerland.
Elchi.az reports that this was stated by European Commission spokeswoman Paula Pinho at a briefing in Brussels.
“For the time being, we have nothing to say about this. Switzerland is an independent country; it can make its own decisions. I have no information yet about the EU coordinating these actions,” Pinho said.
