Traffic Police Department: Refrain from driving while sleepy and tired

Drivers preparing for a trip should first of all pay attention to the serviceability of vehicles and ensure that not only they but also passengers fasten their seat belts while driving.

Elchi.az reports that this was stated in the appeal of the Main State Traffic Police Department (BDYPI) to drivers regarding the expected situation on the country’s highways due to the end of non-working days.

It was reported that strict adherence to the speed limit, overtaking and maneuvering rules, and proper assessment of road and weather conditions are important conditions for safety.

“Dear drivers, avoid driving while sleepy and tired. When traveling long distances, take a short break after every 2-3 hours of continuous driving and pay attention to the technical condition of your vehicle,” the report said.

Passengers are advised to fulfill their legal obligations to reach their destination safely, avoid actions that distract the driver, not to be indifferent to changes in their mood while driving, violations they commit, and not to participate in the illegal passenger transportation process.
