Elchi.az reports that these thoughts were expressed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan while announcing the export figures for 2025.
Erdoğan stated that Turkey’s membership in the European Union should be resolved without wasting time: “We hope that the Council of the European Union will make the necessary decision and start negotiations with our country without wasting more time. We are closely monitoring the protectionist measures and legal preparation processes that our European friends apply in some areas within the framework of economic security. We expect the European Union not to undermine the essence of trade between us and to remain committed to its partnership obligations.”
