Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Oleh Ivashchenko, the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service (FIS), as the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (MID).
Elchi.az reports that the Ukrainian leader wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
“From today, Oleh Ivashchenko will continue to perform his duties in the post of military intelligence of Ukraine to serve the state and limit Russia’s military potential,” Zelenskyy wrote.
He noted that he held a meeting with O. Ivashchenko as the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, and Ivashchenko provided information about the general situation around Ukraine and current threats.
