Somalia has thanked Azerbaijan for supporting its territorial integrity.
Elchi.az reports that Ahmed Qaashan, Deputy Director of the Communications Department of the Somali Ministry of Foreign Affairs, addressed his gratitude to Azerbaijan on his “X” account.
“We respectfully welcome Azerbaijan’s position regarding its support for the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia. This position reflects Azerbaijan’s commitment to the principles of international law and the protection of globally recognized statehood,” said Ahmed Qaashan.
It should be noted that after Israel officially recognized Somaliland, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its support for the territorial integrity of Somalia.
